The Various Causes of Gout

Gout is a kind of arthritis that also scratches the joint parts. When a gout attack occurs the joints bulge up as a result of the abnormal uric acid in the blood stream that form all over your joints. There are a lot of possibilities as to what causes gout but it is mostly caused by particular varieties of meals. Gout attacks will also preclude you from daily actions.

So what causes gout? Gout is caused by the build up of uric acid in your bloodstream. As uric forms, it may crystallize in the most minute levels which are enough to be caught in the joints. These crystals react differently from the joints which in turn causes discomfort and irritation.

Uric acid originates from purines. Purines are natural to the body and they can also found in some foods and in alcohol. These substances are converted to uric acid as they are processed.

During metabolism about two-thirds of uric acid is produced by the kidneys while the rest is made by the digestive system. The normal process should be that the uric acid usually dissolves in the blood and passes out of the body through the kidneys in the form of urine. If the body produces too much and remove not enough uric acid during urination, uric acid will accumulate and cause microscopic crystals to form. This is the cause of gout.

One of the many foods that can cause gout is bacon. Bacon is extremely delicious. But it doesn’t follow that it is good for your health. Bacon contains high sodium saturated fat content which causes heart diseases.

High amounts of alcohol can also cause gout. Why? Alcohol can attack the kidneys which make it more difficult for them to remove the uric. Thus, you should limit your intake of alcohol before uric acid spreads out to your joints.

Some seafood that has a lot of purine includes anchovies, cod, oysters, dish eggs, and more.
